A relaxed evening of Christmas creativity and festive fun. 💜
Join Dreamscape Community Connections C.I.C. at the Evergreen Centre, Loscoe, to make decorations and table pieces for A Seat at the Christmas Table on Sunday 22 November.
✨ Festive making
Decorate Christmas baubles and reusable festive decorations.
Create Christmas table pieces and keepsakes.
Make decorations for the Winter Wonderland at A Seat at the Christmas Table.
Join our present-wrapping workshop. Whether you love wrapping or would like a little help, you're welcome.
All materials are provided. No experience is needed, and you can take part at your own pace. Some creations may be used in the shared Christmas displays and others may be taken home. We'll explain the options and ask permission before including anyone's work in a public display.
💜 Everyone Deserves a Seat
Our wider creative project also includes a shared community artwork bringing individual decorated seat designs together to celebrate the people and stories that make up our community. We'll explain the display and ask before including anyone's work.

🌿 A relaxed space to create and connect
Come alone or with someone you know. Chat if you feel comfortable, or enjoy making quietly alongside others. There is no pressure to socialise, share a personal story or finish every activity, and you're welcome to take a break whenever you need one.
Photographs may be taken to celebrate and report on the project, but you do not have to be photographed to participate. We will ask permission before taking or sharing identifiable photographs.

🎨 Made with Belonging – Derbyshire Makes
We are delighted to have been awarded a Derbyshire Makes Creative and Community Grant by Derbyshire County Council to support the creative work we are doing in the county. With the grant, we intend to deliver our Made with Belonging: Heanor Community Making Programme, creating festive decorations and table pieces together for A Seat at the Christmas Table, alongside shared community artwork and sustainable-making activities.
Supported by the Derbyshire Makes Creative & Community Grant from Derbyshire County Council.
These November workshops are part of our Made with Belonging: Heanor Community Making Programme, which brings people together through Christmas making and continues with creative activities in spring. The pieces created will be displayed at A Seat at the Christmas Table and again during the Derbyshire Makes Festival, running 3 April–8 May 2027. This Christmas work is a stepping stone towards the programme’s spring activities.
