🥾 THE DREAMSCAPE PEAKS CHALLENGE 2026
12KM FOR COMMUNITY 💜
This isn't about being the fastest or walking the furthest.
For many of us, this will be our first challenge like this.
Some people may complete 1km.
Some might reach 3km, 6km or further.
Others may challenge themselves to complete the full planned 12km.
There is no minimum distance. The challenge is simply to show up, give it a go and see what you can achieve alongside your community.
Why we're walking 💜
Together, we're aiming to raise £1,500 for Dreamscape Community Connections C.I.C.
Funds raised will help support:
🎄 A Seat at the Christmas Table
and
💜 Dreamscape's wider community activities and projects
Helping us continue creating affordable, welcoming and low-pressure opportunities for people to connect, take part and feel like they belong.

💜 Never Done Anything Like This Before?
That's absolutely okay.
For many of us, the Dreamscape Peaks Challenge will be our first challenge like this too. You don't need to be an experienced walker. You don't have to complete 12km. You don't have to keep up with anybody else. Whether you manage 1km, 3km, 6km or the full challenge, what matters is that you showed up and gave it a go.

Getting There & Travel Together
We know getting to the Peak District can sometimes be the hardest part — especially if you don't drive or don't want to travel alone.
Where possible, we'll help registered walkers explore:
Car Sharing
Connect with other registered walkers travelling from similar areas.
Taxi Sharing
Team up and split the cost of a taxi where practical.
Public Transport
We'll share useful travel information once the final meeting point is confirmed.
Travel Together
Use the private Challenge App community chat to connect with other walkers.
Travelling from Heanor, Ilkeston, Langley Mill, Eastwood, Ripley or surrounding areas? Let us know when you register.
💜 You don't have to organise everything alone.
Safety & Privacy
Car and taxi sharing is optional and subject to availability. Personal contact information will not be shared without permission, and participants remain responsible for agreeing their own travel arrangements.
Route & Safety
The Dreamscape Peaks Challenge is planned for the Kinder / Edale area of the Peak District.
The final route, meeting point, challenge points and timings will be shared with registered walkers before the event.
🥾 Safety Comes Before Distance
- Stay with their buddy/group
- Follow Dreamscape event-team instructions
- Keep their phone charged
- Use the planned challenge points
- Turn around when they've reached their personal limit
- Check in before starting and check back in when safely returned
Nobody will be expected or pressured to complete the full 12km.
The Challenge App provides additional route, progress and support information, but it does not replace event-team instructions, appropriate navigation or emergency services.
Your safety matters more than reaching the next kilometre. 💜
