Coming Along

Can I come on my own?

Yes. Many people feel nervous about coming alone, and you will not be expected to walk in confidently or already know anyone.

What if I feel nervous before attending?

That is completely okay. You can message us before attending, ask what to expect, or let us know you may need a quieter, gentler welcome.

Do I have to join in?

No. Dreamscape spaces are low-pressure. You can join in, sit quietly, observe, take breaks, or engage at your own pace.

What happens when I arrive?

You will be welcomed gently. We aim to make spaces feel calm, clear and easy to understand, especially for people who may feel anxious or overwhelmed in typical social spaces.

Can I leave early if I need to?

Yes. You are not trapped in the space. If you need to leave early, take a break or step away, that is okay.

Can I bring something to help me feel settled?

Yes, where suitable. You may bring something quiet that helps you feel grounded, such as a book, fidget item, headphones, colouring, knitting or something similar.

Bookings, Payments & Refunds

Helpful answers about booking places, payments, refunds and why costs still matter as a C.I.C.

How do I book a place?

You can book through the Dreamscape website, or message us if you feel unsure and need help finding the right event.

Are spaces limited?

Yes. Some sessions have limited spaces so we can manage comfort, safety, capacity and the calm feel of the space.

Where do sessions take place?

Locations vary depending on the session. Please check each event description for the correct location, time, age guidance and details.

Why do some events cost money?

Dreamscape is a C.I.C., but there are still costs to cover, including venue hire, materials, insurance, refreshments, planning time, staffing and booking fees.

Are refunds guaranteed?

Refunds are not guaranteed. Some costs are committed in advance, such as venue hire, materials, staffing, refreshments or booking fees.

Why are refunds not always possible if Dreamscape is a C.I.C.?

Being a C.I.C. means Dreamscape is set up to benefit the community, not private shareholders. However, Dreamscape still has real running costs.

What if I cannot attend after booking?

Please contact us as soon as possible. Where possible, we may consider a transfer, credit or another fair option, but this cannot always be guaranteed.

Accessibility & Support Needs

Are Dreamscape sessions neurodivergent-friendly?

Dreamscape is designed with neurodivergents in mind, including people with ADHD, autism, PDA, OCD, anxiety, sensory overwhelm and those who have never felt they quite fit in.

Can I tell you about my access needs?

Yes. You are welcome to let us know about access, sensory needs, mobility needs, seating, breaks, quieter options or anything that may help you feel more prepared.

Can every access need be guaranteed?

We will always try to be clear, thoughtful and realistic, but we cannot guarantee every access need can be met in every venue or session. Please contact us before booking if you need to check something specific.

Can I ask what the environment will be like?

Yes. You can ask about noise, seating, parking, access, what to expect, whether there may be breaks, and anything else that may help you feel more prepared.

Can I use headphones, fidgets or quiet tools?

Yes, where suitable. We understand that many people use small tools to help with regulation, focus, anxiety or sensory overwhelm.

Can I bring someone with me?

In many cases, yes. Please check the event description or contact us first so we can understand the space, capacity and booking needs.

Are Dreamscape sessions for adults?

Dreamscape mainly focuses on adults, and many sessions are designed for adults or older young people depending on the event.

Can young people aged 13+ attend?

Some activities may be open to ages 13+ when attending with a parent or carer. This only applies where clearly stated in the event description.

Who is responsible for under 18s?

Where an activity allows ages 13+ with a parent or carer, the parent or carer remains responsible for the young person throughout the session.

Will every event allow under 18s?

No. This will depend on the activity, venue, safeguarding, capacity and suitability. Please always check the individual event description.

Do I need to fill in a form for a young person?

For some activities, a short form may need to be completed on arrival or before attending. This will depend on the event and will be made clear where needed.

Do volunteers need to be over 18?

Partnerships & Sponsors

Who can partner with Dreamscape?

Businesses, venues, sponsors, community groups, organisations, service providers and event organisers can enquire about partnership.

Can my venue host a Dreamscape session?

Possibly. We would need to consider access, safety, capacity, environment, facilities, location, cost and suitability.

Can I sponsor a session or event?

Yes. Sponsors can help make community sessions more accessible, support running costs, fund materials, or help Dreamscape create more low-pressure opportunities.

Where does partnership money go?

Partnership income helps Dreamscape cover running costs, create more community opportunities, improve access, support training and reinvest into calm, inclusive spaces.

Will partners get a certificate or display badge?

Approved partners may receive a certificate, window sticker or display badge where suitable. These are only provided once a partnership has been agreed and must be used in line with Dreamscape guidance.

Private Events

Can Dreamscape support a private event?

You are welcome to contact us about private events, group sessions, community bookings or gentle activity sessions. Suitability will depend on the type of event, location, capacity, staffing and boundaries.

What kind of private sessions could be considered?

Can Dreamscape come to our venue?

Possibly. We would need to consider travel, access, safety, space, safeguarding, insurance, timings and whether the event fits Dreamscape's calm, low-pressure approach.

How do I enquire about a private event?

Please contact Dreamscape with the type of event, location, number of people, preferred date, access needs and what you are hoping for.
