Feeling nervous? You’re not the only one.

Coming to something new can feel scary, especially if you do not know anyone, feel anxious in groups, or have spent a long time feeling like you do not quite fit.

Dreamscape Community Connections C.I.C. was created for people who need gentler, calmer ways to connect.

You do not have to arrive confident.
You do not have to be chatty.
You do not have to explain yourself.

You can come as you are.

This page is here to help you feel prepared

Before coming to a Dreamscape meet-up or event, you might want to know what to expect, where to go, who will be there, and whether it is okay to feel nervous.

The answer is yes.

It is okay to feel nervous.
It is okay to come quietly.
It is okay to need time.
It is okay to join in slowly.

You might be thinking…

What if I don't know anyone?

That is completely okay. Many people come without knowing anyone first.

What if I'm quiet?

You are still welcome. You do not have to talk constantly to belong.

What if I get overwhelmed?

You can step back, take a pause, or let someone know if you need support.

What if I'm neurodivergent?

Dreamscape is neurodivergent-friendly and created with ADHD, autism, PDA, OCD, anxiety and sensory needs in mind.

What if I come alone?

That is absolutely okay. Lots of people come alone.

What if I change my mind?

You can take things at your own pace. We understand that trying something new can take time.

A calmer way to connect

What Dreamscape is and is not

Dreamscape is a community connection space.

We are not a crisis service, clinical service, therapy service or emergency support service.

We cannot replace professional mental health, medical, safeguarding or emergency support, but we can offer calmer community spaces where people can feel less alone.

Start where you feel safest

You do not need to jump straight into everything.

You can start by reading what to expect, browsing upcoming meet-ups, joining the online community, or simply following along until you feel ready.
