Dreamscape is built by people who believe community should feel welcoming, flexible and human.
Behind every session, activity, project and slightly ambitious idea is a growing team bringing different strengths together.
Some of us you'll see at sessions. Some work mainly behind the scenes. Others are helping develop specific areas of Dreamscape.
But we're all working towards the same thing:
Creating calmer, kinder and more welcoming ways for people to connect.

The person behind Dreamscape.
Dreamscape is personal to Marybeth.
After years of struggling with anxiety, confidence and feeling uncomfortable in traditional social environments, being diagnosed with ADHD and later discovering she is autistic helped many of her own experiences finally make sense.
It also made her realise how many other people want connection but find the usual ways of meeting people overwhelming.
Walking into a room where you know nobody. Not knowing where to sit. Feeling pressure to talk. Wanting to go — but sometimes finding getting through the door the hardest part.
Marybeth wanted to create something different.
In March 2026, Dreamscape Community Connections C.I.C. was born.
Rather than telling people they need to become more confident before joining in, Dreamscape uses relaxed activities, creativity, games, meals and shared experiences to make connecting feel more natural.
💙 Belong first. Confidence can come later.
Marybeth now leads Dreamscape's overall direction, activities, partnerships, projects and growing team, while continuing to speak openly about neurodivergence, anxiety, isolation and why community doesn't have to look the same for everybody.
Her story and Dreamscape's approach have also been shared through Erewash Sound, helping take that message beyond the people already attending.
I didn't want to create another group where people had to fit in. I wanted to create somewhere that could fit around the people who came.

Dreamscape isn't about everyone doing the same thing.
Some of us work behind the scenes, some support sessions and events, and others are helping develop new programmes and opportunities.
We each bring different skills, ideas and experiences — and together we're helping Dreamscape grow while keeping connection, belonging and community at the heart of what we do.

Johnny
Community Support Coordinator
An extra pair of hands when they're needed. Johnny supports Dreamscape behind the scenes and at occasional sessions and events — helping with preparation, practical jobs, setup and supporting things to run smoothly.

Some people love being out in the community. Others are happiest helping quietly behind the scenes. Some bring creativity, practical skills, ideas or simply a reassuring presence.
