Refund policy

Dreamscape Community Connections C.I.C.

Dreamscape Community Connections C.I.C. is a community-led, non-clinical organisation offering low-pressure meet-ups, events, activities and connection opportunities.

We aim to be as fair, clear and compassionate as possible while also protecting the sustainability of Dreamscape and the costs involved in planning community activities.

This policy explains how refunds, cancellations, credits, event swaps, transfers and digital products are handled.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Community Events & Meet-Ups

    Many of our meet-ups are free, low-cost or offered on a community basis.

    Where an event is ticketed, tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by us.

    If you can no longer attend, you are welcome to:

    • transfer your place to someone else, as long as you let us know before the event, or
    • contact us as early as possible if there are exceptional circumstances.

    Refunds are not automatically given for:

    • not attending on the day
    • illness or personal circumstances
    • changing your mind
    • arriving late
    • being unable to attend after booking
    • not checking event details before booking

    Where possible, we may offer a full event swap, credit, or transfer at our discretion, but this is not guaranteed unless the event has been cancelled or significantly changed by us.

    If We Cancel an Event

    If Dreamscape Community Connections C.I.C. cancels an event, you will be offered the choice of:

    • a full refund
    • credit to use towards another Dreamscape event, or
    • an event swap to another suitable Dreamscape event

    You can choose the option that works best for you.

    If an event is cancelled by us, you will not be expected to lose the money you paid for that event.

    Credit or an event swap will only be used if you choose that option.

    If an Event Is Postponed or Changed

    Sometimes event details may need to change. This can include the date, time, location, activity format, access arrangements or venue.

    We may make changes to prioritise:

    • safety
    • accessibility
    • wellbeing
    • venue availability
    • weather conditions
    • low attendance
    • circumstances outside of our control

    If an event is postponed by us, or if there is a significant change that means you can no longer attend, you will be offered the choice of:

    • a full refund
    • credit to use towards another Dreamscape event, or
    • an event swap to another suitable Dreamscape event

    You can choose the option that works best for you.
    Any significant changes will be communicated as early as possible.

    Outdoor Events, Walks & Weather

    Some Dreamscape events, such as Calm & Connect Walks, picnics or outdoor activities, may be affected by weather, ground conditions or safety concerns.

    If we decide it is not safe or suitable for an event to go ahead, we may:

    • cancel the event
    • postpone the event
    • change the route
    • change the meeting point
    • change the activity format
    • offer an alternative plan

    If we cancel or significantly change the event, you will be offered the choice of:

    • a full refund
    • credit
    • an event swap

    If the event is still going ahead and you choose not to attend, our usual no-refund policy applies.

    Deposits & Pre-Sale Bookings

    Some events may use deposits, pre-sale bookings or early booking tickets to help us confirm numbers, secure spaces, plan materials or cover upfront costs.

    Unless clearly stated otherwise, deposits and pre-sale tickets are non-refundable unless Dreamscape cancels the event.

    If we cancel the event, you will be offered the choice of:

    • a full refund
    • credit to use towards another Dreamscape event, or
    • an event swap to another suitable Dreamscape event

    Event Swaps & Credit

    Where credit or an event swap is offered, this means:

    • you may move your booking to another suitable Dreamscape event
    • credit can be used towards a future Dreamscape event
    • the new event must have available space
    • any price difference may need to be paid
    • unused credit cannot be exchanged for cash unless required by law

    Credit and event swaps are usually offered at Dreamscape’s discretion, unless the event has been cancelled, postponed or significantly changed by us.

    Sponsored Tickets

    Sponsored tickets are provided to help make Dreamscape activities more accessible.

    Sponsored tickets:

    • cannot be exchanged for cash
    • cannot be sold on
    • cannot be used for a different purpose
    • should be returned to Dreamscape if you can no longer attend, so we can offer the space to someone else

    If you receive a sponsored ticket and can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible.

    Digital Products & Resources

    Due to the nature of digital content, digital downloads, online resources and digital products are non-refundable once accessed or downloaded, unless they are faulty, inaccessible or not as described.

    If you experience a technical issue, please contact us and we will do our best to resolve it promptly.

    This may include:

    • helping you access the resource
    • resending access details
    • providing a replacement file
    • offering an alternative format where possible
    • issuing a refund if the issue cannot be resolved

    Some digital resources may be created or provided by Dreamscape Inclusive Solutions. Where this applies, the product page will make this clear.

    Accessibility & Capacity

    Dreamscape Community Connections C.I.C. is designed to be low-pressure, inclusive and supportive.

    Attendance is always optional, and you do not need to explain non-attendance. However, refunds are still subject to the terms above.

    We understand that health, anxiety, overwhelm, family circumstances and access needs can affect attendance. Please contact us as early as possible if something changes, and we will do our best to respond fairly.

    Processing Refunds

    Where a refund is agreed, it will usually be returned to the original payment method.

    Please allow time (Up to 14 Days) for the payment provider or bank to process the refund after it has been issued.

    Refunds, credits or event swaps will only be processed once confirmed by Dreamscape Community Connections C.I.C.
